"Pedro C. "Papo" "Pete" Bonilla, Jr., 45, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 17, 2011.

Born September 9, 1965, in Ephrata, he was the son of Pedro C. Bonilla, Sr. and Irma S. (Gonzalez) Bonilla.

Pedro was known to many for his passion of riding street bikes. He worked as a skilled independent contractor for the majority of his life. He enjoyed passing his time drawing pictures of classic low rider cars and all types of motorcycles.

He will be lovingly missed by his parents, of Lancaster; three children, Yessenia Lynn Bonilla, Pedro C. Bonilla, III and Judd W. Bonilla, all of Melbourne, FL; a step-son, Andrew Balmer, of NY; a sister, Ruth A. Rivera-Bonilla, wife of Ivan Rivera, of Leola; a half-sister, Charlene I. Bonilla, of FL; a niece, Melissa A. Martinez; a nephew, Ricardo L. Lopez and a great nephew, Alexzear D. Soto, all of Leola, PA.

Funeral Services will be held at the El Redentor United Methodist Church, 548 S. Ann Street, Lancaster, PA 17602, on Friday, February 25, 2011 at 10 AM, with his uncle, Rev. George L. Gonzalez, Jr., officiating. Interment will be in Mellinger's Mennonite Cemetery, East Lampeter Township, PA. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to view at the Andrew T. Scheid Funeral Home, 320 Blue Rock Road, Route 999, Millersville, PA 17551, on Thursday evening between 6 and 9 PM and also at the church Friday morning between 9 and 10 AM.
