Levi Linn, son of Caleb and Ann Linn, was born in the state of Maryland, October 30, 1809 and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William Noakes, January 14, 1903, having passed the 93rd milestone of life, 2 months and 14 days. He was married in Ohio to Melinda Truax on November 14, 1833, to which union were born seven children, four daughters and three sons, all of whom survived their father until the 8th of the present month, when Walter, his youngest son, of Martinsville, Illinois, was called beyond. 30 grandchildren survive Father Linn.

Father Linn was a consistent member of the old school Baptist for more than a half century, having united with that church in the State of Ohio, in 1852. He removed form that state to Illinois in 1865, settling on Parker Prairie, where he lived happily with his family until the death of his wife which occurred February 3, 1887, since when, with the exception of two years, he has lived with his youngest daughter, Mrs. William Noakes.

A large concourse of relatives and friends attended the funeral at the Richwoods church Thursday.
