1880 January 14th: Thomas married his first wife, "Lena" LeCOMPTE KEENE.

1880 MD Census: Thomas B. Cator is listed in the 1880 Census for Parsons Creek, Dorchester, with his wife "Lena M." Cator. He is 22; she is 24. Also living there as a "boarder" is William E. Keene who is 23 (brother?). Thomas and William are merchants/grocers.

About 1884: First daughter, Rita (Reita) L. CATOR born.

Between 1884 and 1888: Second daughter, NADINE CATOR born.

1888 June 18th: "Lena" LeCOMPTE KEENE CATOR died.

1891: Thomas elected Sheriff of Dorchester County.

1898 April 6th: At age 40, he married his second (and last) wife HALEY/HALIE P. HARRIS in Cambridge, MD. She was the daughter of ISAAC HARRIS and EMILY SPEDDEN. Halie was born 27 May 1867 in Cambridge.

15 Apr 1903: Emily Cator, daughter of Thomas and Halie is born.

1930 April 2nd: A widower at his death, Thomas was in the Cambridge Hospital after a prolonged 5 week stay; he died at 72 years 2 months old and was buried on April 3, 1930 in the Christ Church Cemetery. His home was on Gay and Muse Streets in Dorchester County. Note: Thomas was an Honorary Member: Rescue Fire Company, Cambridge MD.
