New Holstein—Arnold Woelfel, 43, a resident of the town of New Holstein, passed away Sunday morning at St. Nicholas hospital, Sheboygan, after submitting to an operation Tuesday.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Woelfel, the deceased was born at Charlestown on Oct. 16, 1901, and attended St. Martin's parochial school there.
On Nov. 7, 1927, he was united in marriage with Miss Verena Hoffmann at St. Anna. Following their marriage the couple lived at Charlestown and Marytown before moving to the present home a mile and a half south of this city. The deceased was a member of the Holy Name society of the Holy Rosary church and was employed at the Hart-Carter Co. foundry, Lauson division, at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife; four children, Delores, Alvin, Roland and LeRoy, all at home; his father, Fred Woelfel, Sherwood, Wis.; two brothers, Alex and Raymond, both of New Holstein, and two sisters, Mrs. Richard Roder, Sherwood, and Mrs. Clemens Rieth, New Holstein.
