In 1840 in Pendleton County, Kentucky, Alfred married Matilda Ann Burrows. They lived in Grant County and had nine children in Kentucky. About 1858 the family moved to Camden County where they lived out their lives.
During the Civil War, Alfred Webster served in the Osage County Regiment, Company I, in Missouri. His military tombstone has only his abbreviated name "Alf'd Webster" and his outfit.
He died in 1899 and was buried in Decaturville Cemetery.
