Robert Edward Campbell, of Fairfax, formerly of Bedford, died Monday, Sept. 10 in a VA hospital in Washington, D. C.
He was retired from the US Government Services. He was born in Bedford County, son of Mrs. Nannie Foley Campbell of Bedford and the late Tyree L. Campbell.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, Robert Edward Campbell, Jr. of Fairfax; Charles T. Campbell of Harrisburg, Pa.; two brothers, Howard M. Campbell of Bedford; Tyree Luck Campbell of Bradenton, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Willie Virginia Wilson of Homassassa, Fla.; Mrs. Celeste Pearl Camper of Tampa, Fla.; Mrs. Patricia Mae Harcum of Dahlgren, Virginia; and two grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday (today) at 4:30 p.m. from Bethlehem Baptist Church cemetery by the Rev. Randall Layne. Arrangements are by Updike Funeral Home of Bedford.
