The Bowman Family 1886 p.19 indicates that he was buried in the Newberry Cemetery without a tombstone marking his resting place. The Newberry Cemetery has since been dismantled.

… in 1870 the property was surrendered to the German branch of the family represented by Mr Joseph Baumann, of Ems."

The Bowman Family 1886 pp.6-7 story of the bull of Waterton, MA and another Bowman brother - is not related to Christopher - but of Francis Bowman (1630-1678). Mrs Louisa D Bowman McClain is not a descendant of Christopher's brother. Her Bowman lineage is given below.
