Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 30, 2010, in the chapel of Lunn Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be said at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at Stl Mary's of the Assumption Catholic Church in Megargel, Texas with Father Richard Eldredge of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Colleyville, Texas officiating, assisted by Deacon Jim Novak. Interment will follow in the Megargel Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
Jim was born February 23, 1918 in Megargel, Texas to the late Mike and Emily Brom. He and Katherine Frizzell were married January 4, 1942. She preceded him in death August 12, 2007. Jim was a farmer. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a substitute mail carrier. He moved to the Ft. Worth area in 2005 from Megargel. He was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Brom in December 2001.
Survivors incude one son, Mike Brom and wife Vivian of Wichita Falls, Texas; one daughter, Judfy Hall and husband Frank of Colleyville, Texas; ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
