William U. Barnes Dies In Lawrence

William U. Barnes, 87, well-known resident of the Hillsboro route 3 community died at his home at 7:30 this morning. Mr. Barnes was born in Lawrence county and spent his entire life there.

Funeral arrangements are to be announced by Brown Funeral Company of Decatur.

Rites Conducted For W.U. Barnes

Funeral services for William U. Barnes, 87, were conducted at 2 o'clock this afternoon at Austinville Methodist Church by Rev. Hugh E. Wright, the pastor. Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery with Brown in charge. Mr. Barnes died at 7:30 Thursday morning at the home of his son, Marvin Barnes, Hillsboro route 3.

Surviving are two sons, Marvin; Luther, Decatur route 3; two brothers, Council Barnes, of Sheffield; Lucian Barnes, of Moulton; a sister, Mrs. Fannie Hall, Anniston.

Pallbearers were Elmer Bussey, S.H. Bradley, F.B. Roberts, Andrew Hall, Bill Thompson and Forrest McCluskey.
