Dora Elsie Cowell

Dora Elsie Cowell, 100, of Deer died Wednesday, April 18, 2001, at Clarksville.

She was a daughter of the late John and Mary Adams Faught, widow of Albert Cowell, affiliated with the Free Holiness Church, and was preceded in death by two daughters, Blanche Clayborn and Ruby Cowell; one son, Boyd Cowell; three sisters; and three brothers.

She is survived by two daughters, Betty Farris of Clarksville and Ida Davis of Deer; one son, Wilburn Cowell of Tulsa, Okla.; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at the Deer High School Gymnasium with Rev. Bobby Young officiating.

Burial was in the Deer Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Grandsons served as pallbearers.
