Motion Picture Director. Among the many films that he directed includes, "Path To Freedom," "Ambush," "Reindeer Games," "Ronin," "George Wallace," "The Island of Dr. Moreau," "Andersonville," "The Burning Season," "Against The Wall," "The Fourth War," "Dead Bang," "52 Pick-Up," "The Iceman Cometh," and "The Prophecy" among many others. He also directed many television series' including, "Danger," "You Are There," "Climax!" "Playhouse 90," and "The Garry Moore Show." Frankenheimer was also a talented actor and producer, "The Manchurian Candidate in 1962, was one of his best produced films. He passed away at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, after a serious stroke on July 6, 2002. He was 72 years old.
