She was first married to Harley Franklin Fetty and gave him two children. Richard A. Fetty and Theresa M. Fetty.
Later on, she married William Hobert Burkhead of Grayson Co., Kentucky. Together they had six children:
David Micheal Burkhead
Deborah Gail Burkead (deceased before the age of one)
Cheryl Lynn Burkhead
Christy Lee Burkhead (deceased before the age of one)
Janet Denise Burkhead
Daryl Paul Burkhead
