John Busby served in the War of 1812. He was the son of John Busby (Jr.) and Edith Price. His date of will, Oct. 30, 1851: date of probate, Dec. 10. 1853. UPDATED Death date from Busby family Bible = 17 Nov 1853

"John Busby was one of the earliest settlers [of Harrison County, Ohio], arriving in 1805. He was a native of Maryland. He served as a Justice of Peace for 18 years. Both he and Agnes are buried on the farm he owned. The same farm where Abraham # 12 child was born.
