Susie was daughter of John H. Goodnight and Peggy Conder. She married Joseph Johns about 1825 in Giles Co. TN. They moved to Bond Co. IL by 1830 and were in Williamson County IL by 1840. They moved to Stewart's Creek, MO in the early 1840's where Susie died. She was buried in Hyde Cemetery with only a pile of rocks as a marker because the family was moving on to Barry County. Susie and Joseph were parents of 8 children. Susie did not have a brother named Luke. Someone keeps putting him down as buried in the grave of Eliza Ann Littlejohn Patrick Goodnight's grave.
