Sgt. Lashawn D. Evans, 24, of Columbia, S.C., died Feb. 15 in Baghdad province, Iraq, in a non-combat related incident. He was assigned to the 1st Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Aviation Regiment, Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Division,Fort Riley, Kan. Surviving are his wife, PFC Florinda Cierra Evans; daughter, Shanirea Amiracle Evans; parents, Kim Evans and Kevin Green; siblings, Jamel and Talisa Green; grandmother, Dorothy Evans; father and mother- in- law, Clarence and Vivian Perry; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
