Alumnus Gives Life in Alaska

A second WHS alumnus has given his life for his country. He is Private First Class James Hendricks, class of '41, who died in Alaska August 11 from a multi-fractured skull, received while unloading timbers.
While in school Jim was an active member of his class, belonging to the Latin club, chorus and public speaking club. Upon graduation he was awarded a scholarship to Niagara University which he was attending when called into service. He leaves his sister Marjorie, lass of '42; his father died earlier this summer.
