ROY V. MITCHELL

Roy Vernal Mitchell, 66, 859 State, died of natural causes May 28 in a Salt Lake hospital. Born Sept. 5, 1901 in Granger to Zadoch C. and Florence Louisa Bolton Mitchell. He married Ada Ostler, and later divorced. Married Norma Gillette Peterson July 10, 1945 at Ely, Nevada. He was a member of the LDS Church, veteran of WWII, former employee of Kennecott Copper Corp., draftsman.
Survivors include his widow; sons and daughter, Max O. of Hunter, Raymond V., Walnut Creek, Calif.; Mrs. A. E. (Dorene) Sadler, Magna; stepsons and stepdaughter, John and Jay Peterson, both Salt Lake City; Max Peterson, Riverton; Mrs. Duane (Jean) Carlston, Granger; 36 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Clarence and Mrs. Pete (Lucille) Golesh, both of Midvale; Ralph and Conrad, both of Draper; Mrs. Della Weaver, Mira Loma, Calif.; Mrs. Les (Arva) Allgood, Payson.
Funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 7th South, where friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday prior to services. Interment at Midvale City Cemetery with military graveside rites by the American Legion Bonneville Post. Funeral directors: Deseret Mortuary.
