Christine L. Terry, 80
Christine L. Terry, 80, of Lafayette, the mother of a Monticello resident, died at 1:05 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2001, in St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
She was born in Moulton, Ala., on Feb. 6, 1921. She married Edmond B. Terry in Moulton, Ala., on Oct. 10, 1936. He died Dec. 20, 1999.
She was a homemaker and a member of Lafayette First Southern Baptist Church.
She enjoyed cooking and feeding people and she was an avid fisherman. She sang in a quartet "Gospel Harmonaires."
She is survived by sons, Jackie Terry of Lafayette, the Rev. Edmond M. "Butch" (Peggy) Terry of Pamplin, Va., the Rev. Ross (Roxie) Terry of Monticello and Wilkie (Sheryl) Terry of Lafayette; sisters, Mable (Marshall) Terry of Moulton, Ala., and Gladys (Jack) Hale of Lafayette; a brother, Willie Letson of Lafayette; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Six brothers and sisters are deceased.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Soller-Baker Funeral Home, Lafayette Chapel. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Lafayette First Southern Baptist Church, with visitation also one hour before services. The Rev. Ross Terry and Pastor Fred Seidler will officiate.
Burial will be in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
