son of John Gray, married 1- Elizabeth Lamond, 2- Mary Dick. Veteran French and Indian War, Capt. Lotheridge's Co. marched to the relief of the troops at Fort William Henry. Served in the Revolutionary war Lt. in Capt. David Cowdens Co. marched 17 Aug 1777 alarm at Bennington. During Shay's rebellion he was a spokesman for the rebels.
