Herman Ray Sorrels of Bismarck died Wednesday, February 16, 2011. He was 90 years old, the son of the late Nelson and Minnie (Carpenter)Sorrells.

He was a veteran of WWII; retired from Union Carbide and a member of the Bismarck Pentecostal Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cloie (Garner) Sorrells; two sons, Douglas and Vernon Sorrells, three brothers and two sisters.

Survived by three brothers and two sisters Wayne Sorrells and his wife Brenda Gail; a daughter, Gail Sorrells Burrows; brother, Norman Sorrells; three sisters, Retha Bright, Lois Cozart, and Lola Sanders. Eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, February 18, 2011 at Caruth Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Van Glidewell and Archie Pardue officiating.
