"DEATH CLAIMS MRS. WALLER: Midland Woman Passes After Illness of Short Duration. Funeral Be Held Friday. // Following an illness of a short duration, Mrs. Maggie D. WALLER, widow of the late J. T. WALLER, prominent Muscogee county woman, passed away at her residence on the Lake Cora road, near Midland, Wednesday night at 10 o'clock. // Mrs. WALLER was born in Meriwether county, Georgia, March 28, 1871, the daughter of the late M. M. BOWDEN, Sr., and Rachael SUMMERS BOWDEN, but has been a resident of Muscogee county since childhood. She was a devout member of the Pierce Chapel Methodist church and byher genial and Christian nature leaves a host of firends who deplore her passing. // Surviving Mrs. WALLER are three daughters, Mrs. J. M. RUTLEDGE, of Columbus; Mrs. N. N. WORHTINGTON, of RIchland, Ga., and Miss Queen Nell WALLER, of Midland; a son, R. M. WALLER, of Midland; two sisters, Mrs. A. T. REESE, of MIdland, and Mrs. L. E. CALLIER, of Talbotton; a brother, M. M. BOWDEN, Jr., of Midland; eight [sic - evidently only seven listed] grandchildren, Eugene, Margaret Ann and Mary WORTHINGTON, of Richland; J. M. and Jack RUTLEDGE, of Columbus; Roy Jr. and Jemmie WALLER, of Midland. // The funeral services will be held from the Pierce Chapel Methodist church Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. WIGGINS will officiate and will be assisted by Rev. J. A. GODFREY and Rev. Julien SIZEMORE, and the interment will follow in the family burial plat in the family cemetery. // The following have been requested to serve as pallbearers: Active, F. C. WOOD, H. J. ASKEW, W. F. PARKMAN, H. B. HANCOCK, J. M. NORRIS, and G. A. WRIGHT. Honorary, Dr. J. C. WOOLDRIDGE, G. E. SINGLETON, T. D. WOOLDRIDGE, T. B. WILLIS, W. S. O'NEAL, O. CARTER, W. L. COTTON and Dr. J. A. THRASH."
