Clarence E. "Pops" Lowe, 79, of Flora, died at 9:47 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2001, in St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo, IN.
He was born in Burrows, IN on Aug. 6, 1921, to Alva and Isey Sink Lowe. He married Margaret McHardie on Sept. 19, 1942. She died June 6, 1993.
He was a 1939 graduate of Rockfield High School and a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during World War II. A foreman at RCA in Monticello and retired in 1980 after 30 years of employment. He enjoyed square dancing.
He is survived by two sons, Daniel L. (Betty) Lowe of Galveston and James M. (Joyce) Lowe of Lawrence; three grandsons, Jeff, Jason and Aaron Lowe; and two great-grandchildren, James and Samantha Lowe. A brother, George Lowe, is deceased.
No visitation. Graveside services, with military rites, 1 p.m. Monday at Rockfield Cemetery. The Rev. Ken Byland will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation. Murray Funeral Home, Kokomo, IN, is in charge of arrangements.
