Mrs. Suggs
LORIS -- Mrs. Martha Hardee Suggs died in a Mullins Hospital Thursday.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Glendale Baptist Church with the Rev. Otto Edwards, the Rev. Lester Branham, the Rev. Donnie Stevens and the Rev. Drue Hardee officiating. Burial will be in Patterson Cemetery, directed by Hardwick's.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Holmes, Jr., Liston Holmes, Hope Holmes, Clayton Johnson, Earl Johnson and Carl Johnson.
Mrs. Suggs was born in Horry County, June 30, 1889, daughter of Robert and Semadosier Thompson Hardee.
She was a member of the Glendale Baptist Church.
Surviving are: five sons, L. Bailey Suggs of Roseville, Mich., Huger Suggs of Conway, Horry Suggs of Dearborn Heights, Mich., Thomas E. Suggs of Detroit, Mich., and Carlisle Suggs of Portsmouth, Va.; three daughters, Ms. Dennis (Mabel) Holmes and Mrs. Fred (Virgie) Blackburn, both of Loris, and Mrs. Ernest (Ruby) Johnson; a sister, Mrs. Fannie Prince of Loris.
