Surviving are daughter, Joy Blanchard of Oxford; son, Dennis Gardner of Asheboro; brothers, Boddie Melton and Earl Melton, both of Hillsville, Va.; sister, Artie Marshall of Hillsville, Va.; two grandchildren.
