George J. Foegen of Greenwood Village, a hospital administrator and business professor, died Wednesday at home. He was 68.

A funeral mass will be said at 9 a.m. today at Horan and McConaty Mortuary, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd. Interment will be in Fort Logan National Cemetery.

Foegen was born Nov. 27, 1927, in Kaukauna, Wis. He served for 30 years with the Army Air Corps and the Army Medical Corps until his retirement, with the rank of colonel, in 1978. He received the Bronze Star Medal of Valor, Armed Forces Honor Medal, Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal and many other citations.

He received a bachelor's degree in pharmacy, and master's and doctorate degrees in health care and business administration.

Foegen was on the staff of Regis College and Metropolitan State College of Denver. He was the author of books and software.

In 1953, he married Dorothy McCarthy in Battle Creek, Mich.

He is survived by his wife; four sons, John P., Christopher G., Michael J. and Brian T.; five daughters, Denise M., Lisa A., Celia J., Caitlin P. and Kim E.; and three grandchildren.

GEORGE J. FOEGEN, 68, of Greenwood Village died Dec. 6. Services were Dec. 8. Mr. Foegen was born in Kaukauna, Wis., on Nov. 27, 1927. He married Dorothy McCarthy, 1953. He served in the Army Air Corps and later in the Army Medical Corps, retiring with the rank of colonel after serving 30 years and receiving numerous medals. He later worked at Regis College, and later retired from Metropolitan State College of Denver as an associate professor of management. He wrote several books and software for teaching management. Survivors include his wife; daughters Denise, Lisa, Celia, Caitlin and Kim; sons John, Christopher, Michael and Brian; three grandchildren.
