Daughter of Harmannus Pel and Trijntje Boelman.
Trijntje worked in German services as "Wehrmachtshelferin". She was probably doing some clerical work, like stenography or typing, or switchboard operator. While trying to avoid the approaching Allies, she was with Germans during the bombardment at "Huize De Eng" in Lienden. Seven German soldiers, and three Dutch women, dressed in German uniforms, were killed. They were first buried at Ingen Cemetery, later relocated to the cemetery at Ysselsteyn on 25/05/1950 due to fears for the integrity of their graves. The three women were buried as "stateless".
