Note: Adam was born in Dunblane, Perthshire, Scotland (now Stirling District, Dunblane, Scotland) Dunblane lies on the hills above the Forth valley and Stirling on the the southern edge of Perthshire. Note: Adam Campbell and Elizabeth settled on a 300 acre tract of land on the South side of Hunting Creek near the Wilkes and Surry County line, in Rowan County, sometime prior to 1775. The Campbell Cemetery is located on this tract and is a historical landmark.
