Mr. Nieding was born in Germany February 4, 1847, and for 46 years lived on the farm where he died. He came at twelve years of age with his parents and two brothers: Gustav (Augustus), and Sebastian, age 3. A few weeks after arriving and owning land in what is now Bever Creek his parents died of Typhoid fever. The administration used all of the property. Henry had to start all over again and kept his brother. Gustav served in the Civil War.
Surviving are the following sons and daughters: Andrew, Mrs. Margaret Hathaway, Anna M. Nieding, and Mrs. Mary Ammon all of Fields; Sebastian Neiding of Elyria, and Anthony Nieding an Elyria attorney; also 5 grandchildren, a brother Sebastian Nieding lives on Murray Ridge.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 P.M. from the late home with Reverend John Koontz officiating. Burial will be in Fields Cemetery.
