OBITUARY - Elizbeth Neufer Nieding was born in Cleveland, Ohio, October 18, 1852.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Neufer and was the oldest of eleven.
Her girlhood days were spent in Elyria township. In 1869 she was united in marriage to Henry Nieding and they lived on the adjoining farm eighteen years, when they moved to their pesent home where she had lived 27 years.
To this union were born eight children, Andrew Nieding, Mrs. Maggie Hathaway, Miss Anna Nieding, Sebastian Nieding, Anthony Nieding, and Mary Ammon, besides a son and daughter (Augusta & Christine) who had died in infancy. Besides the immediate family she leaves a mother, four sisters and five brothers, also five grandchildren to mourn the loss of the departed one.
She departed this life Tuesday morning, June 8, 1915 at 5:30 o'clock, aged 62 years, 7 months, 21 days.
Appropriate funeral services were held at the family residence Friday afternoon at one o'clock, conducted by the Rev. A. H. Perry of Fields, after which she was tenderly laid to rest beneath a profusion of flowers in the cemetery at Fields.
