Grace V. Farmer, 82, died Wednesday at Miller County Nursing Home in Eldon. She was born Dec. 10, 1909, in Eldon, a daughter of Joe and Gertrude Miller Adams. She was married July 18, 1933, in Eldon to Ivan H. Farmer, who died Feb. 27, 1959.

She owned and operated the Dairy Queen in Eldon from 1950 until her retirement in 1969. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Eldon, a member and past matron of Barnett Lodge No. 303, Order of Eastern Star, and a member of White Shrine in Fort Peck, Mont., and Niangua Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution.

Survivors include: two daughters, Donna J. Miller and Mary J. Catron, both of Eldon; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.

Eastern Star and memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Randall Bunch will officiate. The body will be cremated. Memorials are suggested to Miller County Nursing Home, American Heart Association, and Osteoporosis Foundation.
