Mary Ann Davis Bolliger, age 83, passed away Friday at the Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George, Utah.
Born March 25, 1919 to John Reese and Ethel Christopherson Davis. She married Ray Williams in 1938. They later divorced. She married Joseph Donald Bolliger in 1949 in Salt Lake City. He preceded her in death.
At age five, her family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah after the death of her father in a mine explosion in March of 1924. He was a superintendant of the mine. She attended Forest Elementary, Irving Junior High, and South High School, where she was an honor student.
Mary was employed by ZCMI and Utah Farmers Cooperative. After the death of her husband, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and was employed at UNLV. After her retirement, she moved to St. George, Utah.
Surviving family: daughter-in-law, Claudia Ashby, St George, UT; grandchildren: Bret (Tara) Ashby, Bountiful, UT; Lori (Ken) Buckner, Loganville, GA; Lisa Ashby, St. George, UT; Blair (Heidi) Ashby, St. George, UT. 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and may nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents, husband, Joseph Donald Bolliger, sister, Sara Eileen Davis Hayes, brothers, John William Davis and Robert Noel Davis, son, Michael Ray Ashby.
Services were held August 5, 2002, Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 E. 7800 S., Salt Lake City, Utah.
