Edward Samuel Albee was born February 19, 1844 in Bangor, Maine to Edward Card & Elmina Griffin Albee. He died August 17, 1901 at Neosho Falls, Kansas.
On June 27, 1867 he married Helen M. Peterson at Union City, Pennsylvania. To this union two children were born, Edward Card and Albert O.
Edward Samuel Albee enlisted in the Union Army on September 6, 1862. He was a member of Company A, 16th Calvary Regiment of the Pennsylvania Volunteers. He fought in many battles during the Civil War, most notably he fought at Gettysburg. He mustered out on June 16, 1865.
With his health failing, Edward spent several years at the National Homes for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers.
He is buried in Cedarvale Cemetery, Neosho Falls, Kansas.
He is survived by his wife, Helen and his two sons, Edward and Albert.
