Mr. Simons was born in Ingham County, MI. He was an inspector for the State Highway Department; an Army veteran of World War II; and member of the American Legion, Newaygo.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine; sons Trim Simons, Newaygo, Roc, Lansing, MI; daughters Cindy Simons and Tanya Howell, both of Newaygo; stepsons Robert Strong, Crystal River, Philip Strong, Bushnell; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and sister, Eva Brown, Tavares.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, at the Purcell Funeral Home Chapel, Bushnell, with Dr. John Law and Captain William Moredock presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to HPH Hospice-East Pasco Care Center, 37439 Clinton Ave., Dade City, FL 33525 Purcell Funeral Home, Bushnell, is in charge of arrangements.
