Born May 23, 1937, in Hamlin, Clayton was the son of the late Ulysses and Tiny Bell Branscum Lee.
He attended Hamlin schools, and married Carol Hood, October 16, 1954, in Anson.
Clayton owned and operated Lee Trucking until his retirement in 1995.
His wife Carol, preceded him in death in 1996.
Clayton was a member of the Hamlin Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include a son and daughter in law, Richard and Melissa Lee of Hamlin; daughter and son in law, Cindy and Steve Jones of Childress; 7 brothers - James Lee of Albany, Frankie Lee of Idalou, Preston Lee of Hamlin, Junior Lee, and Jimmy Lee both of Abilene, Johnny Lee of Stamford, and Jerry Don Lee of Monahans; 4 sisters - Joyce Haberthur of Perryton, Betty Fields of Comanche, Brenda Cole of Hamlin, and Linda Johnson of Stamford; 5 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
