Mr. Curtis E. "Dude" Bane, age 75, a resident of Rockwood, TN passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2011 in the Roane Medical Center, Harriman, TN. He was born November 28, 1935 in Rockwood, TN to Reece Lee Bane and Ruby Jane Hickey Bane. Mr. Bane was a member and Deacon of the Kingston Church of Christ and an active member of the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard. Mr. Bane was a retired Project Supervisor with the Tennessee Department of Transportation with over 40 years of service. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a Retired Staff Sergeant with the Tennessee Army National Guard. Mr. Bane was a 1954 graduate of Rockwood High School. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Regina Carol Bane; and his brother, James Edward Bane.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary with Jeff Brown and David Poole officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held Friday, February 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood with full military honors by the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 17, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Evans Mortuary.
