John Alton Hendry,69, of Lufkin, died Tuesday, January 12, 1999. He was born 0n October 21, 1929, in Cherokee County, Texas, to the late Joe Hendry and Roxie Goodwin Hendry.
Mr. Hendry was a retired Butcher for Oscar Mayer, following 12 years of service. He had been a resident of Lufkin for the 8 years.
Mr. Hendry is survived by his daughters, Mrs. Monty(Nancy) Long of Muscatine, Iowa, and Shirley Hendry of Herrington, Kansas; he has a close friend Richard Rusher of Lufkin; nephew Billy Hendry of Lufkin; and a number of other nieces, nephews and relatives.
