Services for Edwin L. Rose Jr., former vice president of Neiman Marcus, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Funeral Home, 3100 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth.
Mr. Rose died of a massive heart attack Friday at his home in Fort Worth. He was 79.
Mr. Rose was senior vice president and general manager of the Neiman Marcus corporation at the time of his retirement in 1973. He began his career with the store in 1947 as employment manager. He also managed the Preston Center and downtown Houston stores.
He supervised construction for the NorthPark, Houston Galleria, Atlanta and Bal Harbour, Fla., stores.
After his retirement, Mr. Rose operated Gallery Frames on Lovers Lane in Dallas.
Mr. Rose was born in Dallas. He attended Central High School in Fort Worth before serving with the Air Force Air Transport Command in World War II. Mr. Rose is survived by his wife, Vicki, of Fort Worth; daughter Cynthia Rose of London; son Mark Rose of Fort Worth; a sister, Mrs. Billy Joe Robertson of Fort Worth; and two grandsons. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
