Margaret Elizabeth Ashwill Hartman, 86, of Tuscola died at 11:50 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 13, 2011) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
She was born on Nov. 11, 1924 in Bourbon Township outside of Arthur to John J. and Mabel M. Heerdt Ashwill. She married Charles H. Hartman on June 28, 1969 in Tuscola. He preceded her in death on July 1, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Lloyd and Elvin Ashwill.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynnette Smith (husband Carl) of Beardstown; one sister, Helen (husband Marvin) Shaw of Kingman, Indiana; two sisters-in-law, Bernita Ashwill of Tuscola and Kathleen Ashwill of Hillsboro, Indiana; four stepgrandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; two step-great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
