Larry David Ashby, 61, of Roanoke, Va., passed away Saturday, February 12, 2011, surrounded by the love and support of his family. He was predeceased by his mother, Dollie A. Martin; father, John David Ashby; stepfather, Lester Martin; and brother, Michael R. Ashby. Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Vickie S. Ashby; son JD "Davy" Ashby and his wife, Cathy; grandchildren, Jordon Overstreet, Whitney R. Ashby, Kalib M. Hale, Kaylee A. Hale, and Zayden Forbes; sister, Victoria Gaylen; mother-inlaw, Doris L. Haupt; sister-inlaw, Kathy Webster; brothersin-law, Daniel Webster and Rodney Rucker; special cousin, Jeff Hyler; many nieces, nephews, cousins and special special friends; including "Orangeberg," Larry's cat.
