Mrs. S. J. Icke, a well known resident or the community, passed from this life at her home three and one half miles northwest of Barnard Monday evening about 9 p.m.
Mrs. Icke came with her husband to this community where she has lived 61 years. Her husband died in July 1922. She leaves to mourn her departure, two sons, Bert and Sam, and two daughters, Etta Icke and Mrs. Gertrude Hoshor. She has 3 grandchildren, Warren Phelps, Delbert Icke of Barnard, and Mrs. Clarence Smith of Raton, NM; 9 great grandchildren, two brothers and one sister - Samuel and William Frazier and Mrs. Linda Broderick, all of Pattonsburg, MO.
Caroline Francis Frazier, second oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Frazier, was born 22 Dec 1846 and departed this life at her home 31 Oct 1926, age 79 years, 10 months and 9 days.
She left her native state with her parents when a child and located in Iowa, and thence to Humboldt, NE where she met her husband. On 29 Jan 1865 she was united in marriage to Samuel J. Icke, who preceded here in death 31 July 1922. To this union were born 8 children, 4 of whom survive and 4 who have passed on: Sarah Phelps, David, Rosa E. and Edgar.
