Clara Comeaux, 68, of Biloxi, MS graduated to her heavenly home on February 12, 2011. She was born in Sicily Island Louisiana on August 6, 1942 to Elizabeth and Clyde Polk. She married Milton Gary Comeaux on May 1, 1960. Together they raised a family. Mrs. Clara spent many years teaching children of the love of Christ. She taught Children's Church and Sunday school at Gulf Coast Baptist Temple, Lighthouse Baptist Church and O‘Neal Road Baptist Church. She also interpreted for the deaf and taught others sign language. Mrs. Clara was the kind of person who was always working and never complaining. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. Mrs. Clara is preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth and Clyde Polk; two sisters, Shirley Valentine and Joanna Santspree; four brothers, Howard Earl, James K, Dusty, and James Lavon Polk. She is survived by her husband, Milton Gary Comeaux; four daughters, Gail (Jeff) Kimbro of Cascade CO, Rhonda (Robert) Smith of Tulsa, OK, Debbie (Gerwin) Henn and Sally (Vic) Fitts both of Biloxi MS; one son Beau (Melissa) Comeaux of Gulfport, MS and two nieces she helped to raise, Mickey (Dan) Carr, and Angie Bowen both of Gulfport. She had 13 grandchildren and 4 great- grandchildren. She is survived by 5 brothers, Clyde Jr., Jerry Wayne, Kenneth Joe, Jesse, and Tony Polk and one sister, Barbara (Noah Reece) Dement. Also many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Middle Cross Baptist Church. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in D'Iberville Memorial Park.
