He was the son of Virgil M. Day and Attie Dake Day, attended schools at Bethlehem, Harmony and Clarksville; was a veteran of World War II and spent several years working overseas.
He is survived by his widow, Anis Cowan Day; two daughters, Jerri Ellen Powell and Jackie Bell, both of Ohio; his stepmother, Oleta Day, of Clarksville, Ark; and two sisters, Louise Chronister of Russellville, Ark and Freda Pearson of Clarksville, Ark; and several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousin.
