Clay Parker, 79, a resident of the Marble community in Madison County died April 14, 1992, in Springdale. He was born Sept. 17, 1912, in Marble, the son of Ewing and Sarah Crow Parker. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his widow, Marie (Moore) Parker, to whom he was married Nov. 19, 1941; two daughters, Sherry Ash of Rogers and Sharon Wilson of Springdale; two brothers, Claude and John Parker, both of Marble; one sister, Irene Jones of Springdale; three grandchildren, Brenda Melton of Rogers, Brandy and Melissa Wilson, both of Springdale; a great-grandchild, Amber Melton of Rogers. he was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Chloe and Chelo Parker.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 18,at the Marble United Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold DuVall officiating. Interment was in the Lower Campground Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
