Jonas' sister, Susannah Arbaugh, child number 4 of the 9 was my Great-Great Grandmother. Susannah married William Salts.
William and Susannah (Arbaugh) Salts had 10 children. My Great Grandmother, Eliza Ella (Salts) Smallridge was child number 8 of the 10.

Jonas was my Great-Great Uncle.

Joseph Arbaugh and Susannah Nelson.

They were married on 06 Apr 1829 in Meigs County, Ohio.

They had 9 children.

Jonas was number 7 of the 9.

Note: When Jonas enlisted the documents show that he enlisted as JONAS Arbaugh. This is reflected in three other records that I found. He is also shown at least twice in the records as JOS. Arbaugh. This could be the reason his stone says Joseph.

I have sent the certified copies of his records to the Department of Veterans Affairs and to the Chattanooga National Cemetery which manages Knoxville National Cemetery for Jonas' records to be corrected and a correction marker placed by his stone. -TLS-
