Opelousas- Funeral services for Versie Marie Prudhomme, age 81, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 11, 2011, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park.
Rev. Perry Hubbs will officiate the services.
Versie was a native of Arnaudville and was a resident of Opelousas, LA. She passed away on Monday, February 07, 2011, at the Opelousas General Medical Center.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and socializing with her friends. She enjoyed spending time outdoors doing yard work and growing flowers. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Survivors include three sons: Ron Prudhomme of Jacksonville, FL; Steve Prudhomme and wife, Michelle of Louisa, VA; and Kurt Prudhomme and wife, Zoila of Opelousas; three daughters: Brenda Miller and husband, Paul of New Orleans; Donna Prudhomme of Destin, FL; and Michelle Daigle and husband, Zap of Prairieville; two brothers: Allen Robin and Leonard Robin, both of TX; three sisters: Gertie Boullion of Texas, Mary Cheek of Florida, and Jeannie Ray of Texas; 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert Robin and Noeda Lanclos Robin, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Pallbearers will be her children.
