Victor C. Fidi, of Hilltop Dr., Southington, entered into eternal rest surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday (October 29, 2003) at Bradley Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of Ludmila (Brzdek) Fidi.
Born in Providence, RI, and was the son of the late Adolfo R. and Felicita (Danella) Fidi He had served in the U.S. Army from 1943 thru 1945 with the Third army, Sixth Armored Division and had fought in the ``Battle Of The Bulge'' and received the French Croix De Guerre Medal. Victor had been the past president and owner of New England Service Co. Inc. of Berlin for 15 years.

He had also served as past president and life member of the V.F.W. Post 11 of New Britain and had been chairman of their building committee and is also a life member of the the American Legion Kiltonic Post 72 of Southington. Victor also formed the V.F.W baseball league of New Britain comprising of 5 teams, had coached on one of the teams the ``Tigers'' to five consecutive league championships and also was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and AMVETS.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children Victor C. Fidi II of Plainville, Glen C. Fidi and his companion Steve Geist of San Francisco, CA., John C. Fidi and his wife Kimberly of Plainville, and Diane Kellam-Woods and her husband Les of Georgia and South Carolina, a brother Salvatore A. Fidi of Munson, MA, and a sister, Irene Fidi of Johnston, RI, along with several nieces and nephews.

Victor also leaves a special friend, Ray LaBouliere whom he shared an interest in ``Model'' building with. He also leaves a ``Combare'', Eddie Salzillo and his wife, Rose of Coventry, RI, who also served in the U.S. Army with him.

He was predeceased by his wife Filomena (Lombardo) Fidi, twin sons, Victor and Carmine Fidi, a brother, Adolfo R. Fidi Jr., three sisters, Jennie Fidi-Luft, Teresa Fidi-Angelone and Elsie Fidi- D'Ippolito.

He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church. Services will be held
Burial with military honors will be in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
