Daughter of William Willey Quimby and wife Martha Lowell in East Bucksport. Dorcas married Otis Harriman Small on 17 January 1858 in Bucksport, Hancock, Maine, United States (intention 2 June 1855 registered with the town clerk). They had 4 children: William Lois, Annie May, Celia Adel, and Mahitable Small. Dorcas died in childbirth and the infant Mahitable died too and they were buried together.
