Sandra Rourk Floyd 65, of Lake Butler, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the North Florida Regional Medical Center after a brief battle with cancer. She was born in Alachua, and has lived in Lake Butler for the last 39 years. She is the daughter of the late Toad E. Rourk and Vernice Holton Rourk. She is in her third term as the District 4 Union County School Board Member. She was Secretary and Bookkeeper for Howard Auto Parts from 1978 through 2009. She served as church treasurer for Harmony Free Will Baptist Church for the past 15 years, where she was a member. She was preceded in death by their baby girl, her granddaughter, Ciara Nicole Floyd, and her sister Ann R. Duke.

She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years: William A. (Freddie) Floyd and their three children: William A. (Fred) Floyd Jr. (Wendy), Christie Floyd Perez and Dustin Eric Floyd. 3 Sisters: Josette Varnes (James) of Grandin; Genette Bernal (Dick) of Mexico Beach; and Merlyn Crews of Alachua. 7 Grandchildren: Courtney Floyd Elixson (Daniel); Gabriella VictoriaPerez; Alexandria Nicole Perez; Aliyah Mckenzie Floyd; Kinsley Sayge Floyd; Kyler Chase Floyd, and Patricio Antonio Perez Jr.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 P. M. in the Harmony Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Clyatt and Rev. Percy Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in High Springs Cemetery under the care of Archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon from 3 to 6 P. M.
