WALNUT COVE - Mrs. Martha Bolejack Smith, 90, formerly of N.C. 8 Highway S., Walnut Cove, died late Sunday, July 2, 2000, at Scenic View Health and Rehabilitation in King. She was born in Stokes County on Jan. 16, 1910, the daughter of the late Luther and Fannie Mabe Bolejack.
Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a member of Palmyra Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kerman Smith. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Clyde and Virginia Smith and Harold and Nancy Smith, all of Walnut Cove; a brother, Charlie Bolejack of Germanton; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Palmyra United Methodist Church with Elder Ruben Abbott officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Smith will be placed in Palmyra United Methodist Church at 5 p.m. Tuesday. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the church. (Nelson Funeral Home)
