Son of Matt Marttila.

Reino served as a Private and Guard, Headquarters Squadron, 33rd Air Base Group, Grenier Field, Manchester, New Hampshire during the war.

He resided in Sullivan County, New Hampshire prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on June 3, 1941, prior to the war, in Manchester, New Hampshire. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Farm Hand and also as Single, without dependents.

Reino died in the "Line Of Duty" of an accidental gun shot wound while guarding the Radio/Range Station at Grenier Field.
